At Tata Steel in IJmuiden we're looking for a Senior support engineer. In this role, you will provide technical guidance to automotive customers, focusing on the interaction between Tata Steel products and customer processes. You'll be the voice of the customer within our manufacturing hubs, influencing technical satisfaction directly.
Our clients include long-term partners, and you will regularly engage with stakeholders across Tata Steel’s sales, marketing, and manufacturing departments, traveling frequently to customer sites to maintain these relationships.
To meet our customers’ high expectations, we continually push our capabilities. While your main focus will be on OEMs, you’ll also engage suppliers across the supply chain, including Tier 1 suppliers and Steel Service Centers.
In addition to the above, your responsibilities will include:
• Acting as the account team member responsible for quality issues, product implementation, and trials at customer sites.
• Serving as Tata Steel’s point of contact for all technical service needs, both immediate and long-term.
• Overseeing product approvals and the release of new products and manufacturing processes for your accounts.
• Managing complaint handling and leading problem-solving efforts with manufacturing hubs.
• Identifying the root cause of quality issues, whether they arise from customer or steel production processes, and supporting customer resolution, focusing on optimal usage of Tata Steel products.
• Advising on product improvements to better meet customer expectations and supporting sales & marketing with insights on product mix improvements to enhance customer satisfaction.
